Preston Roach

Executive Director

Preston Roach is the Founding Executive Director of Point Park Motorsport and a Mechanical Engineering student. He leads the development of the university’s Formula SAE program from the ground up, playing a key role in organizing the team, establishing its structure, and guiding its early growth.

Preston is focused on building a collaborative and driven environment where students can gain hands-on experience in design, manufacturing, and project management. His leadership emphasizes both technical progress and team development, helping to create a strong foundation for the program’s future success.

Matthew Pascal

Faculty Advisor

As the faculty advisor for Point Park Motorsport, Dr. Matthew Pascal plays an important role in supporting the team as we build the program from the ground up. His experience in teaching and working with students provides a strong academic foundation for what we’re doing, helping guide both our problem-solving process and overall development as a team.

Dr. Pascal brings a wide range of teaching experience, having worked at institutions including West Virginia University, Towson University, American University, and Northern Virginia Community College. He has also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Pittsburgh and held adjunct positions at Montgomery College, Maryland College of Art and Design, and Anne Arundel Community College.
